Βρίσκεστε στο πιο δημοφιλές σημείο της Ρώμης. Τα Spanish Steps ή Ισπανικά σκαλιά, μοναδικής αρχιτεκτονικής με το ακανόνιστο σχέδιο πεταλούδα, ακριβώς πάνω από την Piazza di Spagna, εξακολουθούν να διατηρούν την παράδοση μέχρι σήμερα και να αποτελούν τον πιο διάσημο τόπο συνάντησης στην Ιταλική πρωτεύουσα. Αν έχετε φίλους Ιταλούς σίγουρα θα δώσετε ραντεβού εκεί. Αν πάλι όχι αξίζει να καθίσετε σε ένα από τα 138 σκαλιά και να παρατηρήσετε το σκηνικό, που στήνεται κάθε μέρα από το πρωί μέχρι το βράδυ και μοιάζει με γιορτή.

Fontana di Τrevi

Από τον περασμένο Νοέμβριο το νερό άρχισε πάλι να τρέχει στο πιο διάσημο σιντριβάνι του κόσμου. Μετά από μία ανακαίνιση που κράτησε 17 μήνες και κόστισε στον οίκο μόδας Fendi -που την ανέλαβε- περισσότερα από 2 εκατ. ευρώ, η Fontana di Trevi φαντάζει πιο όμορφη από ποτέ. Ο ρομαντισμός είναι διάχυτος και ο θρύλος που λέει ότι αν πετάξετε ένα νόμισμα, πάνω από τους ώμους με την πλάτη γυρισμένη, θα ξαναεπιστρέψετε στην αιώνια πόλη, καλά κρατεί.

Piazza del Popolo

Στις μέρες την αποκαλούν «Πλατεία του Λαού» και όχι άδικα μια που καθημερινά συρρέει πλήθος τουριστών. Η εντυπωσιακή Piazza del Popolo μοιάζει με «ανοιχτό μουσείο». Στο κέντρο της βρίσκεται ένας αυθεντικός οβελίσκος, που χτίστηκε στην Αίγυπτο μεταξύ 1232 και 1200 π.Χ. ενώ στην άκρη δεσπόζουν 3 μοναδικές μπαρόκ εκκλησίες, με τη Santa Maria del Popolo να κερδίζει τις εντυπώσεις.

Piazza Navona

Στην πιο ζωντανή πλατεία της Ρώμης την Piazza Navona, θα βρεθείτε όχι μία αλλά πολλές φορές. Βρίσκεται στο ιστορικό κέντρο της πόλης και η ατμόσφαιρα είναι μαγική. Υπαίθριες καφετέριες, γραφικά εστιατόρια, νυχτερινά μπαρ, πλανόδιοι καλλιτέχνες και αναρίθμητα πλακόστρωτα σοκάκια μέσα στα οποία αξίζει να χαθείτε, συνθέτουν το σκηνικό. Τα φημισμένα σιντριβάνια των τεσσάρων ποταμών, Νείλο, Γάγγη, Δούναβη και Ρίο ντέλλα Πλάτα, θα σας αφήσουν άφωνους και θα σας μεταφέρουν πίσω στο τέλος του 16ου αιώνα.

Αν ρωτήσετε τους ντόπιους που θα πιείτε τον καλύτερο εσπρέσο θα σας πουν χωρίς δισταγμό στο Sant’ Eustachio caffe Dal. Το καφέ, που χρονολογείται από τη δεκαετία του 30 βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στο Πάνθεον, μέσα στην ιστορική πόλη και σερβίρει πολλά είδη καφέ, η σπεσιαλιτέ του όμως είναι ο Gran Caffè με την κρέμα.
